Hi @ehc2024,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
Absolutely, you can use your HP printer with regular ink cartridges without an HP Instant Ink subscription. Here's how to set up your printer to operate without a subscription:
1. Install Regular Ink Cartridges
- Purchase compatible regular ink cartridges for your HP printer model.
- Open the ink cartridge access door on your printer.
- Remove any existing Instant Ink cartridges, if present.
- Insert the regular ink cartridges into their corresponding slots, ensuring they are securely seated.
2. Disable Instant Ink Feature (if applicable)
- If your printer has been previously enrolled in HP Instant Ink, you may need to disable this feature.
- Navigate to the HP Instant Ink section on your printer's control panel or settings menu.
- Follow the on-screen prompts to cancel or disable the Instant Ink service.
3. Configure Printer Settings
- On your computer or mobile device, access the printer settings through the control panel or printer software.
- Ensure that the printer is set to use the regular ink cartridges instead of Instant Ink cartridges.
- Verify that the printer status reflects the presence of the regular ink cartridges.
4. Print as Needed
- With the regular ink cartridges installed and the printer configured correctly, you can now print as you normally would.
- Monitor the ink levels periodically and replace cartridges as needed with regular ones.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
