HP OfficeJet Pro 6978 All-in-One Printer

Hello I would like to know if I would be able to resolve this issue with my all in one printer or is it that I would have to purchase a new printer? My printer has been working fine for so long until now I am seeing a pesky printer failure message that keeps popping up. I check online for any quick fix that I could do and they are all a fiasco. My  printer is telling me to remove jammed  paper and there’s no paper that’s jammed. However my ink cartridges are low so, would that be the reason why it’s giving n issue?
