I just bought a brand new sealed smart tank printer from someone on Facebook Marketplace. I cannot print anything because it wants me to register the printer to my account. I cannot do this because it says it’s registered to another HP All in Plan account. How do I have that account removed so I can register to myself and use the printer?

@Mybubbles65,

Welcome to HP Support Community,

To help us get started on resolving your issue, could you please share your HP unit's serial number or product number with us via private message?

Need help finding your product number? We've got you covered! Check out this handy guide:  Click here

To access your private messages, simply click the private message icon on the upper right corner of your HP Support Community profile, next to your profile name.

  • Contact the seller and ask if they can remove the printer from their HP account.
  • If the seller is unavailable or unresponsive, Provide proof of ownership, such as the receipt or serial number.
  • We can then unlink the printer from the previous HP All-in-One Plan account.
  • Once unlinked, register the printer under your own HP account through the HP Smart app or website.

Kindly send the details via Private message.

Take care and have a good day.
