OS: Windows 10

Printer: HP DESKJET PLUS 4122 ALL-IN-ONE PRINTER

Hello, I've gone through all the usual routes but am getting nowhere fast! The printer has a solid blue light next to the WiFi, however in the HP instant ink portal, it says it can't connect to the printer.

I've reinstalled all the drivers, power-cycled, tried a firmware update (which won't work, constantly says it fails, but no error), and I'm only greeted with a white screen in the HP smart app (despite cleaning and repair).

Can anyone help?

Hi @Names9ending,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like you've been taking the right steps to resolve the connectivity issue with your HP DeskJet Plus 4122 All-in-One Printer. Here are some additional steps you can follow to troubleshoot the problem:

Check Internet Connectivity:

  • Ensure that your printer is connected to the internet. It requires a stable connection for HP Instant Ink services to function properly.

Recheck Printer Network Settings:

  • Verify that the printer is connected to the correct Wi-Fi network.
  • Ensure the Wi-Fi signal is strong and the router is functioning properly.

Remove and Reinsert Ink Cartridges:

  • Remove the ink cartridges and reinsert them to ensure they are seated properly. Removing and Reinserting Ink Cartridge

Update Firmware:

  • Sometimes it’s necessary to update the printer firmware to resolve connectivity issues.
  • Try updating from the HP app or the printer control panel directly if the previous attempts failed.

Restart Devices:

  • Restart your printer, computer, and Wi-Fi router.
  • Ensure all devices are connected to the same network.

Check the Printer Status:

  • In the HP app, check if the printer status is online.
  • If the printer shows "Printer Not Connected" or a similar status, ensure the USB or Wi-Fi connection is properly established.

Check HP APP Account:

Reset Web Services Connection:

  • Sometimes, resetting Web Services can help clear connection errors.
  • Access your printer’s Embedded Web Server (EWS), navigate to Web Services, and reset the connection.

    I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
