HP LaserJet MFP M140we Printer
Microsoft Windows 11

I have purchased a nearly new printer which was registered with HP instant ink. I don’t know the previous owners and do not want Hp instant ink on this printer. As I do not know the previous owners I cannot contact them to cancel their subscription,

I just want to buy ink when I need it and don’t want it on instant ink.

Thanks

Today I called the instant ink support line. It was a long call, including live video (so that adviser could check serial number and monitor printer indicators) and HP taking remote control of my PC.

Adviser was very good, cancelled the previous account and set me up with seamless wireless printing from PC and from Android phone. This included working together to take account of my non-standard router/PC  setup - namely router Wi-Fi turned off and hardwire from router to Deco mesh unit which supplies the Wi-Fi.

YMMV but it was good to have a USB printer cable to hand during the call.
