Hi @magalan,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
Try these steps:
Check the Network Connection
- Ensure Router is On and Connected: Make sure your router is turned on and connected to the internet.
- Restart Router: If you are unable to connect, try restarting your router.
- Verify Printer's Network Connection:
- Wi-Fi Connection: Check that the blue indicator light on your printer is steady. If it's not, turn off both the printer and router, then turn them back on.
- Ethernet Connection: If connected via Ethernet, ensure the cable is securely connected and the light next to the Ethernet port is turned on.
Make Sure Web Services are On
Errors can occur if your connection to the Instant Ink service is disrupted. Turn on Web Services on your printer:
- Instructions to turn on Web Services can be found here.
Reset and Update Printer
- Reset the Printer: Turn off the printer, unplug it for 30 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on.
- Update Printer Firmware: Regularly update the firmware to fix issues and enhance performance.
- Instructions for updating firmware can be found here.
Checking HP Smart App
- Check Printer Status in HP Smart App: Open the app, sign in, and check the connection status.
- Green circle icon means the printer is connected and ready to print.
- If the icon shows any attention needed messages like 'Align the Printheads' or 'Out of Paper', address these issues.
Remove and Reinsert Ink Cartridges
- Ensure Cartridges Are Seated Properly:
- Open the cartridge access area, wait for the carriage to be idle, remove and reinsert the cartridges until they snap into place.
Reset Web Services Connection
- Removing or Resetting Web Services:
- Go to your printer's EWS page and follow the prompts to remove or reset Web Services.
- Enabling Web Services again might print an ePrint and claim code information page.
