Product name: HP envy pro 6430.
Issue: Printer is not connecting to instant ink service.
Error message in email from hp: 'your printer is not connected to the internet.
please connect your printer to the internet so we know when to send you more ink. (also, the cartridges won't work if printer not connected to the internet).
Status on my instant ink web page: x offline
What have done to try to fix this: I have pressed the wireless icon on my printer and I have checked that I am in fact CONNECTED to the internet. I have tried clicking the refresh icon on my instant ink web page but no luck.
Question?: What shall I do or what does hp need to do to fix this? Should I cancel my hp instant ink account?

Hi @Vijay2792
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.
To address the issue of your HP Envy Pro 6430 printer not connecting to the Instant Ink Service, it is crucial to ensure your printer has an active internet connection.
Here are detailed steps to help resolve this issue:
Check Printer Internet Connection
Confirm Wi-Fi Network Connection:
- Make sure that the printer is connected to your Wi-Fi network. Check the wireless icon or button on the printer; the light should be steady and not blinking, indicating a stable connection.
- If the printer is not connected, use the printer's touchscreen or control panel to enter your Wi-Fi network credentials.
Restart Network Devices:
- Turn off your router and printer, wait for about 15 seconds, and then turn them back on. This helps refresh the network connection.
Printer Location:
- Ensure that the printer is physically close to the Wi-Fi router to receive a strong signal.
Network Compatibility:
- Make sure your network connection type is compatible with Instant Ink. Note that public or guest networks are typically not supported. It is recommended to use a direct connection via Wi-Fi or Ethernet.
Check Printer Settings
- Enable Web Services:
- Ensure Web Services on your printer are activated, as an interruption can cause communication issues with the Instant Ink service.
- Go to the printer's setup menu and ensure that Web Services are turned on. You can find more information here.
Account and Printer Settings
Verify Account Connection:
- Sign in to your Instant Ink account and check that your printer is added and the status reads "Ready to print."
- Log into your Instant Ink account here and follow the instructions if prompted to address account issues.
Update Firmware:
- Ensure that your printer firmware is updated to the latest version as outdated firmware might cause connectivity issues.
- You can update the firmware by following the instructions found here.
