Hi all! I bought a hp printer last year for the family, rarely being used. I got the ink program thing that I should not have done we all know hp’s practices. I’m out of work due to a bad illness, so not buying ink. Is there a simple way to just remove printer from my accounts on all my devices and just let go cancel this whole hp printer mess? Any advice is appreciated

Yes, you can cancel the HP Instant Ink service and then remove the printer from your HP account.

Step-by-step

Sign in to your HP Instant Ink account

Home / Home Office: sign in to your Instant Ink account.

Cancel the Instant Ink plan

  1. Click HP Instant Ink
  2. Click Update Plan
  3. Scroll to Plan Details
  4. Click Cancel my HP Instant Ink Subscription

Follow the prompts

Watch for confirmation

HP sends an email confirmation immediately, and another at the end of the billing cycle.

Know what happens after cancellation

  1. You can keep printing with Instant Ink supplies until the end of your current billing cycle.
  2. After that, you must remove the Instant Ink cartridges and use Original HP Ink or Toner to continue printing.
  3. Instant Ink cartridges only work in enrolled printers.
  4. Your final charge comes at the end of the billing cycle.

The Paper Add-on service also ends.

Remove the printer from your HP account

  1. Sign in at HP Smart
  2. Click Printers
  3. Under your printer's name, click Printer Options
  4. Click Remove Printer or Manage Printer Settings > Remove Printer

Click Remove to confirm

Take care and have an amazing day!

I'm an HP Employee.
