HP Officejet Pro 8620 e-All-in-One Printer
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I get an error message when I try to print: "HP Instant Ink Cartridge -- Cartridge cannot be used until printer is enrolled in HP Instant Ink." I don't want to enroll in instant ink, I just want to print using the cartridges I have and then shop for new ones whenever I might need them.

Are one or more cartridges in the printer HP Instant Ink cartridges?  Check the label on the cartridge.

Instant Ink cartridges remain the property of HP and must be returned if the program is canceled in accordance with the terms of service.  See sections 5.d and 9.c of the terms of service here. Instant Ink cartridges will not work unless the corresponding printer has an active Instant Ink account.

You will need to replace any Instant Ink cartridges in the printer with retail cartridges.
