Common problems for INSTANT INK, HP+ PLANS: INK AND TONER
We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about Instant Ink. Check out this link: HP INSTANT INK, HP+ PLANS: INK AND TONER. .

My questions are: #1 why do I have to pay to print? I print differently every month. 1 month I may print 0 another 10. I don’t understand why I have to pay to print. I have never had to pay to print with other known products this is the 1st.
#2 I don’t need ink every month. I don’t want to purchase what I don’t need. I’m trying to save as well and knock out unneeded costs. I would like a preference on when to order ink. Are any of my questions possible?

Welcome to the HP Community --

I think you are referring to an Instant Ink Subscription.

How Instant Ink works

Subscribing to Instant Ink is always optional.

Instant Ink service is not mandatory.

All you need do is to say NO when the option to subscribe is offered.

Repeat saying NO if necessary.

Most every HP printer requires that you purchase HP chipped cartridges.

You may purchase HP ink when needed from any reputable merchant, including HP.

"HP Chipped Cartridges" are explained in the following documents.

What else?

If you have purchased an HP All-In Plan printer and plan contract, the contract comes with obligations, requirements, and benefits for both customer and HP.

From the Website:

The HP All-In Plan is an all-inclusive printing subscription that delivers the ultimate in convenience—and provides the dedicated support you need to keep your printer running like new. When you sign up, you get a new printer, automatic ink delivery before you run out, and continuous printer coverage with expedited 24/7 Pro live support. And if you have a printer issue we can't solve over the phone, we’ll send you a replacement, next business day, at no additional cost. All this for one low monthly payment. The best part? It’s risk-free—try for 30 days with no upfront costs and no commitments.

If this is your plan, scroll down to the FAQ section and open What happens if I have trouble printing?

Details and contact information are included.
