It worked perfectly in resetting the machine. Thank you for the "secret buttons". Sadly, now it's frozen telling me I need to be enrolled in "HP Instant Ink." This used to be an option, but now it appears it is mandatory. I may need to rethink my printer solution. When companies make expenses MANDATORY that used to be optional, they are taking away YOUR freedom of choice in favor of THEIR bottom line. My printer is no longer blinking white, but now, instead of only being usable after yet another reset. It is a complete boat anchor, and I have to PAY HP for the privilege of using a printer I already paid for, which is FULL of ink. I now have to decide whether to enroll again in Instant Ink....or simply dump the printer for another model. I am leaning towards the latter.
