Is it still working for you? My instant ink cartridges are no longer recognized.

Worked for a couple days, now it cant find my printer. Purchased ink on Amazon, now it works, cancelled instant ink.

We understand that you had cancelled the instant ink subscription, and post cancellation, we see that you had purchased Original HP cartridges, which are compatible with your printer.

If your OfficeJet Pro 8740 printer worked for a few days and now can't be found, here are some steps to troubleshoot the issue:

Basic Checks

  1. Power & Connection:

    • Ensure the printer is powered on.
    • Check if it's connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your computer or mobile device.
  2. Restart Devices:

    • Restart the printerrouter, and computer.
  3. Check Printer Display:

    • On the printer’s touchscreen, go to Network Settings and confirm it’s connected to Wi-Fi.

Troubleshooting Steps

For Wireless Connection

  • Re-add the printer:

    • On Windows: Go to Settings > Devices > Printers & scanners > Add a printer.
    • On macOS: Go to System Settings > Printers & Scanners > Add Printer.
  • Use HP Smart App:

    • Download or open the HP Smart app to detect and manage the printer.

For USB Connection

  • Try a different USB port or cable.
  • Reinstall the printer driver.
