HP ENVY 5540 All-in-One Printer

So I’ve had this nice HP 5540 for just over five years now and it’s an excellent printer.  Recently I had to be brutal with my finances so the HP Instant Ink went bye-byes.  Now I didn’t think for one second that it would mean losing all that lovely in still in my (bought and flippin paid for) cartridges, but there it is.

 

Simple fix to re-enroll for the instant ink I told myself; but again I was wrong.  I have been buggering about with this for hours now and do not feel any closer to a solution.

 

Please tell me that one of the mods or admins that are HP peoples can simply check my account and fix it for me please?  Money is still tight, so much so that the thought of buying a new retail ink at over £15 is ridiculous compared to the £2.99 a month.  For my print needs that is perfect.

 

Help me Obi-Wan Kenobi, you’re my only hope….

Swapped out black  cart for a newer (instant ink) one. Enrolled fine after that.
