Hi. I need to move my subscribed printer to another address within Sweden. Do I need to actively disconnect and uninstall it from my current local network in order to install it in another network? I need to retain the ink subscription status. I have  a HP account and all.

Hi @matself,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I understand you’re moving your printer to a new location within Sweden and want to make sure your Instant Ink subscription continues without any interruption.

The good news is that since you’re staying within the same country/region, there’s no need to disconnect, uninstall, or make any changes to your Instant Ink account or subscription. Your plan and status will remain active and linked to your HP account.

Here’s all you need to do once you’re at the new location:

Steps to Reconnect Your Printer to the New Wi-Fi Network

  1. Reset the printer’s network settings:
    • On your printer’s control panel, press and hold the Wireless and Cancel (X) buttons together for about 5 seconds until the Wi-Fi light blinks.
    • This clears the old network information.

  2. Reconnect using the HP app:
    • Open the HP app on your computer or mobile device.
    • Select Set up a new printer and follow the steps to connect your printer to the new Wi-Fi network.

  3. Once connected, your printer will automatically sync with your HP account and Instant Ink subscription no extra steps needed.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!

To resolve this, simply cancel the subscription in the HP Smart App and then set it up again, or remotely update the device location information via HP Web Jetadmin.
