Hi @Nnekatr,

Welcome to the HP Support Community

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If you've acquired a printer that was previously enrolled in HP Instant Ink by another owner, you'll need to disassociate the printer from the previous owner's account. Follow these steps to remove the previous owner and set up your own HP Instant Ink account:

Factory Reset the Printer:

  • Start by performing a factory reset on the printer. The process can vary depending on the model, so refer to your printer's user manual or visit the HP support website for specific instructions.

Disconnect from Previous Wi-Fi Network:

  • Ensure that the printer is no longer connected to the previous owner's Wi-Fi network. If it is, disconnect it.

Set Up the Printer:

  • After the factory reset, set up the printer as if it were new. Follow the on-screen instructions to connect it to your Wi-Fi network.

Create a New HP Instant Ink Account:

Enroll the Printer:

  • Once your account is set up, log in and enroll your printer in the HP Instant Ink program. Follow the prompts to complete the enrollment process.

Update Firmware (Optional):

  • It's a good idea to check if there are any firmware updates for your printer. If available, update the firmware to ensure compatibility with HP Instant Ink.
