Hi Gaya1239,
Thank you for getting back to me. Unfortunately logging into the HP Instant Ink website was unsuccessful, as I was automatically re-directed to HP Smart, HP Smart only provides the option to manage the payment information. (if you can actually get into that page due to security issues). I searched the internet for other HP Instant Ink website links, but they all did the same thing, I did see the option to remove my credit card in the main HP website, That didn't work, as I was unable to complete the steps. The the card that I used for my last purchase expired in 2016 and was gone. Therefore, I had no saved cards to delete. I guess HP Smart doesn't communicate with the main site. The the links in the document you recommended also re-directed to HP Smart.
It's my own fault that I am having this problem. Against my partner's advise, I updated my credit card information on the website so that they could process the last $5.34 payment. Definately not worth the aggravation.
My credit cards were compromised in early July, Once they were replaced I had to change all my automatic payments and I am not comfortalbe with my new card information out there on a defunct account. After all, it is my credit card, and I would have expected HP to return it upon request, They no longer need it. I haven't canceled my HP accounts yet because I have seven more months left on the warranty for my current printer, which breaks down alot more than it should.
I've heard that HP will automatically remove a card if it hasn't been used in awhile, I am hoping this is true.
