HP DeskJet 2752e All-in-One Printer
Product: HP DeskJet 2700 All-in-One Printer

I'm trying to remove my HP DeskJet 2700 All-in-One Printer from my HP Instant Ink account.

On the HP Smart dashboard, I click Printers->Printer Options->Remove Printer.

I then click the 2 confirmation windows to confirm.

A window then appears stating "Your HP DeskJet 2700 All-in-One Printer series is enrolled in HP Instant Ink and can't be removed until your subscription is cancelled."

Then after clicking Manage Subscription it shows that it is indeed already cancelled. The plan details window states "There are no active plans for this printer". Why is it not disconnecting the printer from my account?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

@CaMe1986, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Please follow these steps,

Using HP Smart App

Open the HP Smart App on your device (phone, tablet, or computer).

Sign in to the HP Smart App with the account where the printer is currently registered.

Select the printer you want to remove from the list of printers.

Go to Printer Settings:

  • On mobile devices, tap the three lines (menu) icon, then select Printer Settings.
  • On a computer, click on the Printer Settings gear icon.

Look for an option to remove or disconnect the printer from the account. This might be under Manage Printer or Printer Preferences.

Follow the prompts to confirm that you want to remove the printer from this account.

Using the HP Website

  • Visit the HP Smart Portal (HP Connected) at hpconnected.com.
  • Sign in to the HP account that currently has the printer registered.
  • Go to the "My Printers" section.
  • Find the printer you want to remove and select it.
  • Look for an option to remove or delete the printer. This may be under Manage Printers or Settings.
  • Confirm the removal when prompted.

Resetting the Printer

If you cannot remove the printer through the HP Smart App or HP website, you might need to reset the printer to its default settings.

  • On the printer’s control panel, go to Setup or Settings.
  • Find and select "Printer Maintenance" or "Factory Reset".
  • Follow the prompts to reset the printer to its factory settings.
  • After the reset, set up the printer again using the new HP account.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.

Hi, thank you. This all, I know and they are not working for me because it keeps telling me that I have a subscription. Please see the screenshots.

@CaMe1986, Thank you for your response.

I see that your instant ink subscription was recently cancelled. We suggest you please login to EWS and disable EWS and you can remove the account from the instant ink page.
Once that is done, you can remove the printer from the HP smart app.

And we suggest you please remove the instant ink cartridges and use the standard HP cartridges and reinstall the app.

Use the HP printer Embedded Web Server (EWS) | HP® Support

I hope this helps!

If my response resolves your issue, please click “Accepted Solution” to help others find the answer. Also, don’t forget to click the “Yes” button to say thanks!

Take care and have a great day.

The printer is not in the same networks as I am anymore , therefore none of the 3 described scenarios can be applicable to my case.  Any other ideas towards the resolution?
