Hi everyone, I am just about to upgrade my printer, I have instant ink and want to transfer my subscription to new printer, my question is can I still use my old one with ink for a short while after it's transferred as I have a full cartridge

@Sam2612, Welcome to HP Support Community,
Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue
You can transfer your HP Instant Ink subscription to your new printer when you upgrade. Here is a step-by-step guide:
Transfer the Instant Ink Subscription:
- Sign in to your HP Instant Ink account.
- Locate and select the option to change or transfer your printer.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to add the new printer.
Using the Old Printer:
- Once the subscription is transferred, the old printer will no longer benefit from the Instant Ink subscription services.
- You can use the remaining ink in the old printer but remember, the old printer will not be able to order new supplies once the subscription is transferred.
- Ensure you utilize the remaining ink before finalizing the transition.
Note:
HP Instant Ink typically ties the subscription to the printer's unique identifier. Transferring the service means the refill orders, monitoring, and billing will be associated with the new printer.
