Return unused unopened ink cartridges purchased directly from hp for a refund, not through an instan

This is directed directly to hp. This is not an instant ink issue but there is no category that applies but this is about ink.

Looks like the printhead on my printer no longer works. Alignment fails through all suggested steps and not worth replacing. The printer has only been used 2 1/2 years with light use which is very disappointing.. I have 4 ink cartridges ( one each color) I would like to return and receive a refund for these cartridges. They are unopened and unused and cost to the tune  around $100. I doubt I will find an inexpensive hp printer that uses these cartridges.I only paid about $50 for this one. Previously I paid $400 for a printer that used the same ink cartridges and had the printhead quit working after only a few years of light use. So will be looking for as cheap a printer as I can find. Searching the hp web sight for printers that use the 564 ink cartridges, they a very expensive. Considering the short life theses printers have, I don’t want to spend any more than is absolutely necessary.

These cartridges were bought directly from hp and were not part of any auto replacement program. How do I return theses to hp and get a refund for what I paid for them. The cartridges are 564xl - Magenta, Cyan, Yellow, and Black and were bought on sale. Actual invoices can be provided if requested.

Wish there was a better way to contact hp rather than a forum so hopefully this will get to hp.

I’d recommend you contact HP Phone Support in your region regarding a refund or replacement queries


Follow the instructions below to reach them:


1) Click on this link -

2) Select your product type below.

3) Enter the serial of your device. 

4) Select the country from the drop-down. 

5) Select the chat or get phone number options based on your preferences. 

6)Fill the web-form and proceed further.


If you are having trouble navigating through the above options, it's most likely because the device is out of warranty. If yes? please send me a private message with the region you are contacting us from. Check next to your profile name, you should see a little blue envelope, please click on it.
