My HP Envy Photo all in one 6234 won't let me use it as it says my instant ink has expired.  I set up a new plan but it doesn't recognise my printer

@Flopsyrabbit, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

f your HP Envy Photo All-in-One 6234 is not recognizing your new Instant Ink plan, there are several steps you can follow to resolve this issue:

Check Your Instant Ink Account:

  • Make sure your new Instant Ink plan is active and correctly linked to your printer.
  • Log into your Instant Ink account at HP Instant Ink to verify this.

Restart the Printer:

  • Turn off your printer and unplug it. Wait for about 30 seconds before plugging it back in and turning it on.

Update Printer Firmware:

  • Ensure your printer firmware is up to date. You can check for updates via the printer control panel or by visiting the HP Support Page.

Reconnect to Network:

  • If your printer is connected via Wi-Fi, ensure the connection is stable. Sometimes, reconnecting the printer to the network can solve recognition issues.
  • Go to your printer's Network Setup menu and follow the steps to reconnect.

Re-enroll in Instant Ink:

  • If the above steps do not resolve the issue, you may need to re-enroll your printer in the Instant Ink program.
  • Follow the enrollment procedure carefully to ensure your printer is correctly registered.

I hope this helps.

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.
