I have been trying to enroll to InstantInk for two days now; when prompted to add a shipping address I just get the message “Server Error. Please try again soon.”
I was in contact with an agent for nearly 3 hours today trying to fix the problem, they said that my email address is the problem because it’s Mexican (which I know doesn’t matter because relatives in the states with foreign emails have registered), so I used an American email. When trying to enroll, the 4 month trial was not listed and the app wouldn’t let me use a referral code. The person in the support chat ASSURED ME that they could add this in later. I thought I was close to finishing the process (it didn’t work either) and the agent ended the chat first chance they had. So had I enrolled the printer, I would’ve missed out on the 4 month trial and the referral. I am extremely frustrated and don’t know what to do. Any advice or help would be appreciated because the printer is honestly not of use to me without being able to enroll.

Hi @CarlaOrtiz1,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I'm sorry to hear about the difficulties you're facing with enrolling in HP Instant Ink. Technical issues like server errors can be frustrating, but there are a few steps you can take to try and resolve the problem.
- Clear Browser Cache and Cookies: Sometimes, browser cache and cookies can cause issues. Clearing them might help. Try accessing the Instant Ink website using a different browser or an incognito/private browsing window.
- Check Internet Connection: Ensure that your internet connection is stable and not causing interruptions. A stable connection is essential for a smooth enrollment process.
- Try Another Device: If possible, try enrolling from another device to see if the issue persists. It could be a compatibility issue with the device you are currently using.
- Disable VPN or Proxy: If you are using a VPN or proxy, disable it and try enrolling again. Sometimes, these services can interfere with the connection to the Instant Ink servers.
- Try Again Later: If all else fails, it might be worth waiting for some time and trying the enrollment process again later. Sometimes, server issues get resolved over time.
I hope these suggestions help resolve the issue and you can successfully enroll in HP Instant Ink with the desired benefits.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
