Someone told me there is also a monthly “per page” fee. Is this correct? I can’t find anything with that info and I want to make sure before I order. Thanks so much for your help!

Hi @RobinMitchell,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Instant Ink!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Try these steps:

HP offers several printing plans under its HP Instant Ink subscription service. With HP Instant Ink, there might be confusion about the nature of the fees involved. Here’s a detailed overview of how these plans generally work:

HP Instant Ink is a subscription service where you pay a monthly fee based on the number of pages you expect to print each month. The key points for this service include:

Monthly Fee: You subscribe to a plan based on the number of pages you anticipate printing each month. The fees are typically structured as follows (please note these are example tiers and actual prices may vary):

  • Occasional Printing: $2.99 per month for 50 pages.
  • Moderate Printing: $4.99 per month for 100 pages.
  • Frequent Printing: $11.99 per month for 300 pages.
  • Business Printing: $24.99 per month for 700 pages.

Overage Fees: If you exceed the number of pages in your selected plan, there is an additional charge for extra pages, often at a reasonable per-page rate. For example, extra pages in the Occasional Printing plan might cost $1 per additional 10 pages.

Unused Pages: Unused pages often roll over into the next month, but there may be a limit on how many pages can be carried over. Refer to your specific plan details for more information.

Ink Cartridges: The subscription includes ink cartridge replacements delivered automatically when your printer detects low ink levels.

No "Per Page" Fee Beyond Selected Plan

Apart from the subscription fee based on the predetermined number of pages, there is no ongoing "per page" fee for pages printed each month unless you exceed your plan's page limit, as outlined above.

You can find more detailed information and sign up for a plan on the HP Instant Ink page.

I hope this helps.
