I se that I can get a new printer through the Smart Ink program for $11.99 a month, but how many months do you have to pay for that until it is yours?

It is not "lease to own".

 

Do not sign up without understanding the service.

 

Before you decide on a Printer, make sure you know what that printer can do.

Compare the available printers at the site --
