Hi @chauncey2,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

The error message "This invitation is no longer valid" typically appears when you're trying to set up an HP Instant Ink subscription for your printer, but the invitation link or code you're using has expired or is no longer valid.

Here are some steps you can take to resolve this issue.

  • Check Invitation Expiry: Double-check the date on the invitation. Invitations for Instant Ink often have an expiration date, and if you're trying to use it after that date has passed, it won't work. If it's expired, you may need to request a new invitation.
  • Request a New Invitation: If the invitation has indeed expired, log in to your HP Instant Ink account or visit the HP Instant Ink website. There should be an option to request a new invitation or to set up your printer without one.
  • Check Internet Connection: Ensure that your printer is connected to the internet, as this is necessary for the setup and validation process.
  • Reset the Printer: Sometimes, performing a reset on your printer can help resolve connectivity issues. Refer to your printer's user manual for instructions on how to do this.
  • Update Firmware: Ensure that your printer has the latest firmware updates installed. Outdated firmware can sometimes cause issues with Instant Ink setup.
  • Clear Browser Cache: If you're setting up Instant Ink through a web browser, clear your browser's cache and cookies, then try again. Sometimes, cached data can interfere with the setup process.
  • Try a Different Device: If you're setting up Instant Ink from a computer or mobile device, try using a different device or browser to see if the issue persists.
  • Check for Account Issues: Make sure there are no issues with your HP Instant Ink account, such as billing problems or account suspension, that could be preventing you from setting up the printer.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
