How can I transfer ownership of a printer to my daughter and yet maintain the instant ink account?

Hi @RMER,.

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

When an Instant Ink account is linked to a specific printer, you cannot transfer the printer's ownership to your daughter and keep your current Instant Ink subscription active on that machine.

If your daughter lives with you or you want to handle the ink subscription and billing yourself, you do not need to transfer the printer's ownership.

If you want the printer completely in your daughter’s name, she must take over the subscription.

I hope this helps

Take care and have an amazing day ahead! 🚀

Best regards,
