Getting an error when trying to enroll in HP Instant ink on the HP Smart app I get right to the very end where you actually click the Enroll button and it says, "There was a problem finalizing your subscription". My printer is old and the ink cartridges in it are not working anymore so I cannot print the needed printer code when I try to enroll it on my web browser through the HP Instant Ink website. I have checked, and my printer is up to date. Any help would be much appreciated.

@DaxAttack
Welcome to the HP support community.
I understand that you are unable to enroll the printer into instant ink, I am glad to assist you.
You might need working cartridges to enroll the printer into an instant ink account.
Once you get the new cartridges, follow these steps to enroll in instant ink:-
- Deskjet 3700 printers do not have an ePrint button.
- Retrieve your printer claim code by pressing the Information button to print a page titled “Printer Information Page".
- This page shows the status of the wireless network connection.
- See the following instructions, depending on the status of the wireless network connection:
- The printer is already connected to a wireless network:
- Press the Web Services button and the Information button at the same time to print instructions.
- If the printed page does not contain an ePrint address and printer claim code,
- follow the instructions on the printed page to enable Web Services.
- After you enable Web Services, a page titled "Congratulations" prints with the ePrint address and printer claim code.
- The printer is not connected to a wireless network:
- Press and hold the Wireless button for 3 seconds to print the Wireless Quick Start Guide. Follow instructions in the guide to connect the printer to your wireless network.
- Press the Web Services button and the Information button at the same time to print instructions. If the printed page does not contain an ePrint address and printer claim code,
- follow the instructions on the printed page to enable Web Services.
- After you enable Web Services, a page titled "Congratulations" prints with the ePrint address and printer claim code.
- If the "Congratulations" page has only an ePrint address (no printer claim code), the printer was previously claimed to another HP Smart account (formerly HP Connected).
- Print the printer information sheet by pressing the Information button , and then locate the printer IP address on the printed page. Enter the printer IP address in a web browser and navigate to the "Web Services" section of the web page. Remove and then re-enable web services. A page titled “Congratulations” prints with your printer claim code.
