How long will you be saying your engineers are working on it? I don't think you guys are even working on this issue since it's been almost a year that people are calling out this issue. Stop lying and do some real work.

Do Windows 10 and HP just not work?  I have two Dell computers, both are brand new and I can't set up my printer on either one.

I have spent literally HOURS trying to get help.  Each tech support person (after waiting for hours to get someone on the line) thinks my printer has a different issue.  Now my computer is so littered with HP stuff and I am so confused and I cannot print or scan.

This hp App software didn't ask for login before, but now i need to log in to hp to scan a document on my own printer? I'll never buy an HP again!

I agree with the other posters who said use your username not email address to login even though it clearly says email address.  I had been having the same issue for a few days.  I used my username not email address and I was able to get in and set up my scanner.

I also have the problem. And it's not letting me scan anything unless if I sign in. This needs to be fixed ASAP

For those still getting trouble to login, try to use your username instead your email. Guess this is the developer to be blamed regarding this issue.

I've been trying to login with email countless time with no luck, decided to use username then it's successfully logged in.

Cheers.

I see this issue has been going on a while. I am able to print but not scan as the app won't let me past the "Do you want to share data with HP" screen. Doesn't matter what I click, it loops back to the same screen.

I have uninstalled and re-installed the app this evening and still having issues.

means the printer is worthless as a MFD.

The microsoft store cannot download HP App

Issue resolved, for me at least!

I was able to download the HP app, but it kept crashing when going to the cloud or going in a loop when asking me if I wanted to send information to HP. I even uninstalled and reinstalled the printer and it still did not work.

The solution I found was to go to the HP site itself and download the software specific to that printer (in my case the HP Envy 4500 series. This has now allowed me to scan and print.

My suggestion is to go to the HP site and not install the HP app. but to instead install the relevant app for your specific printer.

To do this - go to this link (for UK users): https://123.hp.com/gb/en/

Type in your model number and click Next

Click Download to install the software for your printer

Good luck!

I also found a work around for the broken HP app. I simply go directly to the IP address of the printer and use the webscanner controls. Basically I am using the printer's controls remotely. We have several printers and I must go to each printer separately while the old HP app would handle all of the printers in one place. I have uninstalled the HP app and bought a Konica Minolta printer.
