How exactly  are page counts calculated? If I print a page that consists of just  text  is it counted the same as a page that is half text and half graphics. In other words if I print 20 pages that are all text, and that same day another 20 that are half text and half graphics, will I be debited a total of 40 pages? Since less ink is used it seems like the text only pages should not be counted as a full page.

A printed page is any sheet (or side) of paper on which anything is printed.

Content can be a single word (or image or letter) or the content can cover the page - there is no difference.

1 side = 1 Printed page count

2 sides (duplex) = 2 printed pages

NOTE:  It is NOT necessary that you be enrolled to read the contract

Where is the Instant Ink contract?

Scroll down on the web page > Just after the FAQ section, open and read your "Terms of Service" contract.

Sections in the contract explain what you need to know, the benefits, how to cancel (and what is involved), and your responsibilities.

For example, at this writing, in the Terms contract for the USA:

5.  INSTANT INK SERVICE REQUIREMENTS
6.  CHOOSING AN INSTANT INK SERVICE PLAN (printed page explained in 6b)

9.  CANCELLATION

NOTE:  You do NOT have to be subscribed to the Instant Ink service to the service to read the contract!

For those reading:  If you find "after market" Instant Ink cartridges available on the Internet, these are "black market" and they will not work.  Don't bother purchasing.

Be Informed!  Read your contract.

Instant Ink is a subscription print-by-page service.

Ink is supplied at no extra charge (only) during the time the plan is active.

Read how to cancel, remove and return cartridges, and resume printing after the subscription is terminated.

9.  CANCELLATION
