@wrt5,

Welcome to our HP Community forum!

I'm sorry you're having trouble with your HP Instant Ink cartridge!

If the cartridge is defective or not functioning properly, HP Instant Ink Support can usually arrange a replacement at no additional charge for active Instant Ink subscribers.

Before contacting HP, you may want to try the following:

  • Remove and reinstall the cartridge, ensuring all protective tape has been removed.
  • Restart the printer.
  • Run the printer's Clean Printhead or Clean Cartridges utility (if available).
  • Note any error messages displayed on the printer or in the HP Smart app.

If the problem persists, contact HP Instant Ink Support using your Instant Ink account: HP Instant Ink Support.

Sign in with the account associated with your Instant Ink subscription, then select your printer to access support options (chat, virtual agent, or other available contact methods). Have your printer model, serial number, and any error messages available to help expedite the process.

Hope this was helpful!

Kind Regards,
