Hi @shoegran,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I see you need help with sending unused instant ink cartridges. To maximize environmental benefits, wait until you have three to eight empty cartridges, fill the envelope, and then send them back together.
Please Sign in to hpinstantink.com/signin.
Your HP Instant Ink account page opens.
On your HP Instant Ink account page, click Order a Cartridge Recycling Envelope in the Help Center area.
Review your order, and then click Submit.
You will get the envelope and you can send the unused cartridges.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
Please click “Accepted Solution” if you feel my post solved your issue, it will help others find the solution. Click the “Kudos/Thumbs Up" on the bottom right to say “Thanks” for helping!

This answer doesn't quite apply to the question asked. The answer is for *used* cartridges and the question is for *unused* cartridges. Do we just throw unopened, new, unused, pristine, expensive-to-make printer cartridges in the trash?
These have to cost $30+ each to make, so it would be an economic and environmental waste to just dispose of them.
