HO Office Jet Pro 8710

The enrolment in the account is getting too expensive.

So I canceled my account but I have two boxes of it that I have not used.

What can be done with that toner packages? Why can't I use it in the printer. I paid for it already.

Welcome to the HP Community.

The "Why" and the "What"

The cost for the Instant Ink subscription includes the ink you use during the time the subscription is active.

The Instant Ink Cartridges remain the property of HP.  This is important - you did not purchase the ink cartridges.

After the subscription is terminated, the Instant Ink cartridges will lock and cannot be used in any printer.

Note: Unopened Instant Ink cartridges cannot be used without an active subscription.

Where to find...

How-to / What / Cancel / Contact information is included in your Terms of Service contract.

You do not need a subscription to read the contract.

What to do?

Remove all Instant Ink Cartridges from the printer

Purchase a set of HP Ink cartridges and install in the printer

To insure proper care / disposal / recycle:  Return all Instant Ink Cartridges to HP - the return service is free.
