Hi @Jide3
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP DeskJet 2700 is showing a "blocked" error message, it could be due to several reasons. Here are some troubleshooting steps to help resolve the issue:
1. Check Network Connection
- Wi-Fi Connection: Ensure that your printer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your mobile device. If the printer is on a different network, it may cause connectivity issues.
- Restart the Printer and Router: Sometimes, simply restarting your printer and router can resolve connectivity issues.
2. Update Printer Firmware
- Check for any available firmware updates for your printer. You can do this through the HP Smart app or by visiting the HP website.
3. Reinstall the HP Smart App
- If you’re using the HP Smart app, try uninstalling and reinstalling it. This can clear any glitches causing the error.
4. Reset Network Settings
- You may want to reset the network settings on the printer:
- Go to the printer's control panel.
- Navigate to the setup menu.
- Look for the option to restore network settings to factory defaults.
5. Check for Blocked Status
- Make sure that your printer isn’t blocked in any way by:
- Checking the printer's queue on your mobile device or computer for any stalled print jobs.
- Ensuring there are no paper jams or obstructions.
6. Use Direct Connection
- If you continue to have issues with Wi-Fi, try connecting your mobile device directly to the printer using Wi-Fi Direct if supported. This will allow you to print without needing a Wi-Fi network.
7. Consult the Manual
- Refer to the printer’s manual for any specific instructions or troubleshooting steps related to the "blocked" message.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
