Product: HP officeJet Pro 6978

I just ordered ink cartridges from the HP store I may have selected the wrong black cartridge it was a 906 my printer has a 902 in it will the 906 fit in my HP OfficeJet Pro 6978 thank you.

Looks like you bought your printer in the US or Canada. It ONLY works on 902 and 902XL. 906 won't work on  HP OfficeJet Pro 696x All-in-One Printers around the world.  (x = 0 to 9)

 

You need

  • 902 and 902XL for United States and Canada
  • 903 and 903XL for Europe, Middle East, and Africa
  • 904 and 904XL for Latin America
  • 905 and 905XL for Asia Pacific

As you can see NO 906.
