HP OfficeJet Pro 9018 All-in-One Printer

I initially signed up for instant ink after purchasing my HP OfficeJet printer. However, I decided my usage didn't justify continuing, so I have cancelled prior to the end of the initial free instant ink trial period. I received some instant ink cartridges in the mail but have never installed them. I'm still using the cartridges that came with the printer. I assume the original cartridges that came with the printer will continue to work until ink the has been depleted at which time I will have to buy new cartridges at retail.  Is that correct? Please confirm that my original cartridges will not stop working on the date the free trial period for instant ink was supposed to expire.

Also, what should I do with the instant ink cartridges that that were sent to me but were never installed.

Hi @TEL51,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd like to help!

Instant ink cartridges may not work, once the subscription is cancelled. And yes, if you recieved original ink cartridges, that should work after.

And here's what you need to know & do:

If you have an instant ink cartridge on your printer, remove it and discard that, you can only use regular cartridges on your printer once you cancel the program.

That said, if you have trouble using regular cartridges, I recommend you turn off the web service using the steps from this link: https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c04808536

when done successfully, check if it works fine

You need to return the unused cartridges to HP.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
