HP DeskJet Plus 4122 All-in-One Printer
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I am replacing Envy 5540 printer with instant ink with a deskjet plus 4122. I have added the printer to the HP smart app using the + icon on the home page. I then went to the instant ink section in my account, using overview I selected enrol/replace printer and got to adding "printer Code", but the code did not print. after much toing & froing with virtual agent I was able to manually print the report and also enable web services which also had not been automatically enabled. Entering the printer code I get a message that I couldn't own the printer here (in Instant INK) that I could only do it in Hp smart app, that's where I started so what happened.  New Printer is visible and working with non instant ink cartridges, but not in the instant ink section.  Therefore replacement cartridges will not be ordered. At present the old printer is still connected and in the App. Should I have deleted before installing new printer? THe new printer was pre owned and not out of the box new. I did a factory reset  through web services so installation was treated as a new install. Eprint email address did not clear but I understand that I can change the address once it appears in instant ink section. I am not certain if my daughter has cancelled her instant ink account ,could that impact the installation?
