Hi @SuzanneJ1,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Experiencing a persistent "Connection problem" message on your HP OfficeJet Pro 8035e All-In-One Printer can be frustrating, especially if you're sure that your printer has been consistently connected. Here are several steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve this issue.

  • Check Network Connection: Ensure that your printer is still connected to the network. Verify that the Wi-Fi network you're connected to is stable and functioning properly. Sometimes, even a brief interruption in the network connection can trigger this error message.
  • Restart Printer: Try restarting your printer. Turn it off, wait for a minute, and then turn it back on. This simple step can often resolve temporary connectivity issues.
  • Restart Router: If restarting the printer doesn't resolve the issue, try restarting your router. Sometimes, network issues can stem from the router, so resetting it can help establish a stable connection.
  • Update Printer Firmware: Ensure that your printer's firmware is up to date. HP often releases firmware updates to address bugs and improve device performance, including connectivity issues.
  • Check Printer Settings: Make sure that your printer settings are configured correctly, particularly the network settings. Ensure that the printer is connected to the correct Wi-Fi network and that the network settings match those of your router.
  • Reconnect Printer to Wi-Fi: If the printer has previously been connected to the Wi-Fi network but is now experiencing connectivity issues, try reconnecting it to the network. You may need to re-enter the Wi-Fi password or perform a network setup process.
  • Reset Printer Network Settings: As a last resort, you can reset the printer's network settings to default and set up the Wi-Fi connection again from scratch. Refer to the printer's manual or HP website for instructions on how to perform a network reset.

By following these steps, you should be able to troubleshoot and resolve the "Connection problem" message on your HP OfficeJet Pro 8035e All-In-One Printer.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
