bad cartridge level idification

my printer is not printing color, last time i install color cartridge was on 2016

the printer and the app still showing high level of ink in the cartridge.

every time I try to print color it automatically print in grayscale no matter what I'm doing it wont change.

I feel I've been paying every month for the last 4 years and the whole thing is a scam.

Hi @mchen

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I understand you are not able to print in color. I'd be happy to assist you.

 

I understand you are paying for the Instant Ink service. However, that has nothing to do with this issue.

 

Let us try these steps to resolve this issue:

 

Try making a standalone copy in color check if that works. By this, we can conclude if this is a hardware or a driver issue.

 

Also, perform steps 10 and 8 from this document.

 

If the printer is able to make a copy and print the test page in color, it means the printer hardware is working fine and we will have to look into the printer driver.
