Hi @dave959,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Try these steps:

Check Enrollment Status:

  • Ensure your printer is still enrolled in HP Instant Ink. You can verify your enrollment by signing into your Instant Ink account.

Verify Printer Connection:

  • Ensure your printer is connected to the internet. Printers enrolled in Instant Ink require an active internet connection to function properly. Check the network connection on your printer and confirm that it is connected to Wi-Fi or ethernet.

Refresh Account and Printer Status:

  • Sign into your Instant Ink account, go to Overview or Printers, and check the printer status:
    • If the status is Not ready to print, click the refresh button and the browser reload button to reload the account web page. Repeat up to five times until the status changes to Ready to print.

Turn On Web Services:

  • Ensure that Web Services are enabled on your printer, as interruptions can cause connection errors.

Check the Printer Connection:

  • For Wi-Fi, ensure the blue wireless light is on and not blinking. If using ethernet, ensure the light next to the ethernet port is on, and the cable is securely connected.
  • If disconnected, restart both the printer and router.

Check for HP Instant Ink Cartridge:

  • Instant Ink-ready cartridges become Instant Ink cartridges as soon as they are used in an enrolled printer. Ensure you are using Instant Ink cartridges.

Reinstall Ink Cartridges:

  • Remove the ink cartridges from the printer and unplug the printer for 30 seconds. Reinstall the cartridges and check the status.

I hope this helps.
