I have recently changed my Instant Ink subscription to a new printer.  The new cartridges haven't arrived and I need to rpint something NOW.  The od printer has been "cancelled" and I can't print anything on the old printer.  Although I re-enrolled on the 17th October, the new cartridges were not shipped till 22nd October, and I have no printer.  What can I do? thanks

I understand you’re unable to print on your old printer after changing your Instant Ink subscription and are waiting for new cartridges. Let’s go through a few steps to see what can be done.

a. Check Printer Status
Ensure your old printer is still connected to your computer or network.
Even if the subscription was switched, sometimes the printer can print offline without Instant Ink cartridges.

b. Try Printing Without Instant Ink
If the old printer still has ink in the cartridges, remove the new subscription settings and try printing directly.
Some HP printers allow printing in “cartridge error mode” with remaining ink.

c. Reinstall Printer Locally
Uninstall the old printer from your PC and reinstall it using a USB connection rather than over the cloud or HP Smart app.
This can bypass subscription checks temporarily.

d. Check HP Smart App Settings
Open the HP Smart app and make sure the old printer is set as the default printer.
Try “Print Anyway” if that option appears when Instant Ink is inactive.

I hope this helps.
