Hi @diane1991,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
Changing your computer and printer while maintaining your HP Instant Ink account can be a straightforward process. Here are the steps to ensure a smooth transition.
Set Up Your New Printer:
- Unbox and set up your new HP ENVY 4507 e-All-in-One printer according to the manufacturer's instructions.
Connect the Printer to Your Network:
- Ensure that your new printer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your old one.
Install Printer Software:
- Install the necessary printer drivers and software on your new computer. You can usually find these on the HP website. Download and follow the installation instructions.
Sign In to Your HP Instant Ink Account:
- Open a web browser on your computer and go to the HP Instant Ink website (https://instantink.hpconnected.com/).
- Sign in to your existing HP Instant Ink account with your email and password.
Add Your New Printer:
- In your HP Instant Ink account, navigate to the "Printers" or "Manage Printers" section.
- Click on "Add Printer" or a similar option.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to add your new HP ENVY 4507 printer to your Instant Ink account.
Remove the Old Printer:
- If you no longer have your old printer or are not using it with the Instant Ink service, you can remove it from your account. In the "Printers" or "Manage Printers" section, select your old printer and choose the option to remove it.
Confirm Cartridge Status:
- Check the ink or toner cartridge status on your new printer. It should automatically update in your Instant Ink account. If not, there may be a delay, but it should sync up eventually.
Print a Test Page:
- Print a test page from your new printer to ensure it's functioning correctly and that the Instant Ink service is working as expected.
Remember that HP Instant Ink is tied to your printer's serial number, so adding the new printer to your account should transition your service seamlessly.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
