HP Ink 902

I purchased a blue 902 ink cartridge recently and my HP printer is telling me it's defective. It's brand new. The printer message indicated posting here to initiate obtaining a replacement. Please advise.

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Which Printer do you have? Is the Printer in the HP Instant Ink Program?

Let us know 🙂

Thanks!

I have the HP Office Jet Pro 6978. I bought the blue ink from HP.

If you insert your old ink in, does the error go away?

I put another new blue cartridge in and it works fine. I put the defective ink back in and it still says defective.

You could either return/replace it to the store/website you purchased it from or contact the HP Support Team regarding a replacement.
