I understand you are trying to enroll a new printer and delete an old one on your HP OfficeJet Pro 7740 Wide Format All-In-One Printer, follow these steps:

Enroll in a New Printer

Connect the Printer to the Network:

  • Via Wi-Fi: On the printer's control panel, go to the Wireless icon or open the Wireless Settings menu. Select your Wi-Fi network and enter the password to connect.
  • Via Ethernet: Connect the printer to your router using an Ethernet cable.

Install HP Smart App:

  • Download and install the HP Smart app from the HP website, Microsoft Store, or Mac App Store.

Add the Printer in HP Smart App:

  • Open the HP Smart app and sign in with your HP account.
  • Click on the + (plus) icon to add a new printer.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to detect and add your HP OfficeJet Pro 7740.

Complete Printer Setup:

  • Follow the prompts to complete the printer setup, including setting up web services if necessary.
  • You may need to sign in to your HP account to enroll in HP Instant Ink or other services.

Delete an Old Printer

Remove Printer from HP Smart App:

  • Open the HP Smart app.
  • Select the old printer you want to remove.
  • Go to the printer settings or information section, and look for an option to remove or delete the printer from your account.

Remove Printer from Your Computer:

  • On Windows:
    • Go to Settings > Devices > Printers & scanners.
    • Select the old printer and click Remove device.
  • On macOS:
    • Go to System Preferences > Printers & Scanners.
    • Select the old printer and click the - (minus) button to remove it.

Unregister the Printer from Your HP Account: HP printer setup (HP Smart app

  • Go to the HP Smart website and log in to your HP account.
  • Navigate to the Devices section.
  • Find the old printer and click on the option to remove or unregister it from your account.
