Hi @Bshells,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If you're experiencing a "Security session timeout" issue with your HP DeskJet 2755e All-in-One Printer, where it logs you out within 15 seconds of logging in, here are some steps you can take to resolve the issue:
1. Check Network Connection
**1.1. Ensure Stable Connection
- Wired or Wireless: Make sure your printer is properly connected to your network. A stable connection is crucial for managing printer settings and performing tasks.
- Restart Devices: Restart your printer and your router to resolve any temporary network issues.
2. Update Printer Firmware
**2.1. Check for Updates
- Firmware Update: Ensure your printer firmware is up-to-date. Sometimes, outdated firmware can cause connectivity and session issues.
- Update via HP Smart App:
- Open the HP Smart app on your computer or mobile device.
- Select your printer and go to the Printer Settings.
- Look for Firmware Update and follow the prompts to check for and install any updates.
3. Reset Printer Settings
**3.1. Factory Reset
- Reset Printer: Perform a factory reset to clear any potential configuration issues. Note that this will revert all settings to default, so you’ll need to reconfigure your printer afterward.
- Instructions for Reset:
- On the printer’s control panel, navigate to Settings or Setup.
- Look for Printer Maintenance or a similar option.
- Select Restore Defaults or Factory Reset.
4. Check HP Smart App Configuration
**4.1. Reconfigure Printer
- Re-add Printer: Remove and re-add the printer in the HP Smart app or any other printer management software you are using.
- Sign In Again: Ensure you are signed into the HP Smart app with the correct HP account credentials.
5. Clear Browser Cache (If Accessing via Web Interface)
**5.1. Clear Cache
- Web Browser: If you’re accessing the printer settings via a web interface, clear your browser’s cache and cookies to resolve any session issues.
- Instructions: Go to your browser settings and look for options to clear browsing data or cache.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
