I have purchased a new printer HP Envy6120e. Having difficulty in set up printer. I have tried the QR code and hp.com/start/install without success. If you could provide me with a step by step process in setting up my printer. Your assistance would be appreciated.

I understand you are having difficulty setting up your new HP Envy 6120e printer. Let’s go through the step‑by‑step process to get it installed successfully:

 

Prepare the Printer

  • Unpack the printer and remove all packaging materials.
  • Connect the power cord and turn on the printer.
  • Install the supplied ink cartridges.
  • Load plain paper into the input tray.

 

Install the HP App

  • On your Windows computer, open the Microsoft Store and search for HP App.
  • Download and install the HP App.
  • HP App – Microsoft Store

 

Connect the Printer to Wi‑Fi

  • On the printer’s control panel, press the Wireless button.
  • Select SetupWireless Setup Wizard.
  • Choose your Wi‑Fi network and enter the password.

 

Add the Printer in HP App

  • Open the HP App on your computer.
  • Sign in with your HP account (or create one if needed).
  • Select Add Printer.
  • The app will search for your HP Envy 6120e. When found, select it and follow the prompts to complete setup.

 

Confirm Printing & Scanning

  • Print a test page from the HP App.
  • Try scanning a document to ensure both functions are working.
