how can i get a refund on the instant ink i was just billed ?? cause i had just cancelled the subscription a while ago and i just got the notification that hp took money out of my card. i’m genuinely stressing over this i do not wanna pay for this subscription

Welcome to the HP support community.


We understand how upsetting it can be to receive a charge after you’ve already cancelled your HP Instant Ink subscription, especially when every dollar matters. We're here to help clarify what's happened and work with you toward a resolution.

HP Instant Ink bills at the beginning of each monthly cycle, not at the end. This means:

  • If you cancel your subscription during an active billing cycle, you will still be billed for the final month of service.
  • You will continue to have access to the service until the end of that final period, even after cancellation.
  • HP does not charge again after the final billing cycle is complete.

However, if you believe the charge is an error—for example, if you cancelled before your last cycle renewed—we absolutely want to investigate and make it right.

Please help us with the Printer serial number or the product number in a private message for further assistance.
