Hello @TRJ32, Welcome to the HP Support Community.

We understand the problem. If the Instant Print/Instant Ink section in the HP app will not open, the app may be having trouble loading your account or printer information. You can still check your page usage without relying on that screen.

Check your page count from the printer

On the HP ENVY Photo 6220 touchscreen:

  • From the printer's home screen, swipe down to open the Dashboard.
  • Tap Setup.
  • Select Reports.
  • Select Printer Status Report.
  • Check the printed report for the available printer usage/page-count information.

Check your Instant Ink page usage online

  • If you are enrolled in HP Instant Ink - Accounts, plans & billing | HP® Support, your account is another way to view your monthly page usage and printing history. Sign in to your HP Instant Ink account using a web browser rather than the HP app.
  • This is useful when the Instant Ink section of the app is not loading because the account information is displayed independently of the app interface.

If you want to fix the HP app

If the Instant Ink section is the only part that will not open:

  • Completely close the HP app.
  • Reopen it and make sure you are signed in to the same HP account associated with your printer/Instant Ink subscription.
  • Make sure your phone or computer has a working internet connection.
  • If the problem continues, update or reinstall the HP app and sign in again.

You should be able to view your page usage either from the printer's status report or through your HP Instant Ink account, even if the Instant Ink section of the HP app is currently not opening.

Have a great day!

I'm an HP Employee.
