HP OfficeJet Pro 9018 All-in-One Printer

I keep getting a HP Instant ink Cartridge message saying "Cartridge cannot be used until printer is enrolled in HP instant ink" but I am enrolled. When I click the "hide" button it then states "to get the best possible print quality from your printer, align the printhead now. This process uses ink and 1 sheet of paper."  So when I hit continue it says "printing the alignment page" and then I get the eternal spinning circle and I am not able to use the printer at all. I have a HP Officejet Pro 9018. I also have wireless internet.

Hi @Donai,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If you are receiving an ink cartridge error message with your HP Officejet Pro 9018 printer, there are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue.

  • Check the ink cartridges: Ensure that the ink cartridges are correctly installed and are not empty or low on ink. You can check the ink levels on the printer's control panel or through the HP Smart app.
  • Clean the ink cartridges: Use a lint-free cloth or cotton swab to gently clean the electrical contacts and ink nozzles on the ink cartridges. This can help to remove any debris or buildup that may be causing the error message.
  • Reset the printer: Turn off your printer and unplug it from the power source. Wait for a few minutes and then plug the printer back in and turn it on. This can reset the printer and may help to clear any error messages.
  • Update printer firmware: Check for and install any available firmware updates for your printer. This can help to address any known issues with the printer.

Overall, if you're using HP Instant Ink, it's also possible that there is a problem with your account or your subscription plan.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
