Hi @JessicasJourney,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.
I understand how stressful this is, and I want to reassure you that this issue is resolvable. Your HP ENVY 4527 All‑in‑One (touch‑screen model) is currently blocked by Instant Ink / Web Services not completing activation, which is why it will not print. What you are seeing is a known Instant Ink/Web Services lock condition, not a printer failure. Below are the exact approved steps to clear it.
STEP 1: Hard reset the printer (must be done first)
This clears the stalled Web Services state.
- Leave the printer ON
- Disconnect the power cord from the back of the printer
- Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet
- Wait at least 60 seconds
- Plug the power cord directly into a wall outlet (no extension or surge protector)
- Reconnect it to the printer
- Turn the printer ON and wait until it is idle
STEP 2: Fully remove Web Services using the TOUCH SCREEN
This step is critical.
- On the printer touch screen, tap Setup (⚙️)
- Tap Web Services
- Tap Remove Web Services
- Confirm removal
- The printer will restart automatically
(If it doesn’t, restart it manually)
☑ This clears the broken ePrint/Instant Ink link.
STEP 3: Re‑enable Web Services and ACCEPT TERMS
After restart:
- On the printer touch screen, tap Setup (⚙️)
- Tap Web Services
- Tap Turn On Web Services
- Wait several minutes, do not press Back or Cancel
- When prompted, ACCEPT the Terms & Conditions on the printer screen
- Allow the printer to finish “Updating HP Ink Status”
✅ This step must be completed on the printer screen, not the email link.
STEP 4: Ignore the email ePrint link
The ePrint icon disappearing when clicked means:
- Web Services were not active at the time
- The email link cannot complete the setup alone
⚠️ Do NOT use the email link again.
Activation must be completed from the printer screen itself.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have an amazing day!
I'm an HP Employee.
