HP Officejet 4630 e-All-in-One Printer

i have an officejet and I'm trying to transfer the instaink to my other printer but the "replace the cartridge" pops up and need the eprint email code and I can't retrieve it as the menu screen doesn't display. I don't want to end up buying a black ink cartridge. How can I get that eprint email? Thank you! I hope my question makes sense.

Hi @viri2

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.

I see what you're trying to do—you want to transfer your HP Instant Ink subscription to another printer, but you're stuck because the ePrint email code isn't accessible due to the menu screen not displaying.

Let's go through some steps to retrieve it.

How to Get Your HP ePrint Email Code Without a Menu Screen

1. Check Your HP Instant Ink Account

  • Log into your HP Instant Ink account here.
  • Look for your registered printer and see if the ePrint email is listed.

2. Print an Information Page (If Possible)

  • Even if the menu screen isn’t working, try pressing the ePrint button on the printer.
  • If it prints an Info Page, the ePrint email should be listed there.

3. Retrieve the Code via HP Smart

  • Open the HP Smart app on your computer or mobile device.
  • Select your printer and check for Web Services settings.
  • If ePrint is enabled, the email address should be visible.

4. Reset Web Services

  • If you can access HP’s Web Services settings, try disabling and re-enabling them.
  • This may generate a new claim code for ePrint.
