I received my Instant Ink cartridges, but they are larger. The numbers are the same on the label. The printer ink door will not close.

It's possible that you received the wrong size cartridges or that the cartridges are not properly seated in the printer. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue.

 

  • Double-check the cartridge numbers: Make sure that the cartridges you received are the same as the ones that were previously installed in your printer. If the numbers are different, then you may have received the wrong cartridges.
  • Check that the cartridges are properly seated: Make sure that the cartridges are securely inserted into the printer and that the latches are fully closed. If the cartridges are not inserted properly, the ink door may not close.
  • Remove any packaging or protective tape: Ensure that any packaging or protective tape on the cartridges has been removed. Sometimes, these materials can prevent the cartridges from fitting properly in the printer.

The cartridges are larger than I was previously shipped. The numbers are the same. The cartridges can be inserted just like the previous size, but the door cannot be closed.
